We collect the minimum information needed to process your order and improve the store. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
Order information: name, email, shipping address, phone number (optional), and what you bought.
Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring source, collected for fraud prevention and analytics.
Why we collect it
To process and ship your order, to respond to support requests, to prevent fraudulent transactions, and to measure which pages and campaigns bring visitors to the store.
Who we share it with
Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) to charge your card and handle refunds.
Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, limited to the address and contact details needed for delivery.
Email and analytics providers, under data processing agreements.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your cart and session working, and analytics cookies to understand traffic sources. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout may stop working if you do.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@gearnest.com and we will respond within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Data retention
Order records are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and accounting obligations. Marketing contact information is kept until you unsubscribe.
